MATERIALYTICS TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION

Work began in 2002 as an academic research project to identify the geographic sources of suspiciously documented gemstones. In 2007, results attracted private funding to pursue the work on a proprietary basis. In 2011 Materialytics was formed.

Since then, Materialytics has developed an extraordinarily  sensitive process for identifying the degree of similarity between samples of virtually any materials. These include such things as gemstones, ores, metals, meteorites, super-alloys, acetaminophen, coffee beans, and 3D printed plastics. The process is useful in quality control, counterfeit detection, authenticating, and establishing provenance of natural or human-made materials.

Materialytics is partnering with a number of organizations to commercialize the technology in different industries.
